Today, I printed the names of everyone who signed up for the Italy Explained newsletter. Two copies were printed for the early adopters. Next, I summoned my inner kindergartner and cut fringe-like strips from paper. Then I dropped them in a large salad bowl.
As I began to swish more than 100 sheets of paper, I realized that the bowl would not work. Paper kept falling onto the floor. The strips were then dropped in an empty trashcan.
After a dramatic final swirl, I pulled one piece from the bin. I’m proud to announce it:
