Walks of Italy is a group of people who enjoy good wine and helping their friends. Florence is one the most beautiful cities in Italy for drinking and eating. However, if you wish to eat at a local wine bar and order the best Chianti Classico for EUR5 (or less), and then pair it with some mouthwatering prosciutto, you will need to know where to find it.
Are you still with us? Or are you already dreaming of tender prosciutto? These are the top four wine bars in Florence.
Il Santino (Santo Spirito neighborhood)
This wine bar is, quite simply, heaven! Il Santino has a reputation for offering high-quality wine and delicious prosciutto. Two staff members! The staff (of two!) is always available to recommend the perfect wine to pair with your snack.
You can enjoy the beautiful weather outside, and people-watch, in Santo Spirito in Oltrarno on the “across Arno” side to downtown Florence. You can find out more about . You can also choose to sit at the bar or relax on the benches if you prefer to stay indoors. Enoteca Bevo Vino (San Niccolo neighborhood)
A great alternative–especially after a memorable hike down from Piazzale Michelangelo -is Enoteca Bevo Vivo. It literally means “I drink wine”, which is pretty much what it says!
The enoteca is located in the hip San Niccolo area of Florence. It has a wine library on the left and a bar to the right. The enoteca is always crowded with locals, which gives it a great buzz. You can also find our and other favourite Italian cocktails at home. ).
Live music may be available if you are lucky. Enoteca Vino will make your evening memorable.
